Commodity Energy Procurement (Deregulated Supply)

UAI is active in all deregulated markets.  UAI remains objective and supplier neutral since we do not have any partnerships with any energy marketers.  When advantageous for all clients and where possible, UAI bundles our clients’ loads when pricing markets would give a benefit.  However, typically we have found that there are enough unique needs within each client that dictates their own respective bid.  We customize pricing and contract terms to each client’s special needs according to their purchasing guidelines.

• Active in all deregulated utility markets
• Review all licensed marketers and contacts each marketer to screen out suppliers that may add additional risk to our clients
• Assemble all account data and provide to each qualified marketer
• Obtain market pricing (written RFPs, if necessary) timely to take advantage of favorable market pricing
• Review and objectively evaluate all bid responses utilizing unbiased selection method to identify the most qualified suppliers
• Perform base tariff comparisons to determine the competitiveness of the bids received to assist in the selection process
• Negotiate contract, establish technical terms and conditions with chosen supplier
• Monitor contract compliance by reviewing monthly billing
• Validate and confirm pricing in agreement is applied
• Follow up with marketer/supplier on any non-compliance and resolve
• Verify large account savings by calculating the new pricing versus the “price-to-compare”, “standard rate offering”
